My post Why am I here?

Quite simply, it was a mistake.

When we left the UK in July 16, we were heading to France. We had a tiny house in the French mountains and I was looking forward to living in a ski resort again. The kids had places in school, in the village we were moving to, and all of us had been taking language clases.

However, earlier in the year, we had bought a cave house in Spain. The idea was to have a place in the sun big enough to host family and Friends. Our 27m2 house in France was way too small for any guests.

So we set off on our four day journey south, with a lorry with the rest of our stuff following. A summer of sun, then head to a new life in France, for the beginning of the school term.

It wasn´t to be.

Two weeks in and Tanya told me that she no longer wanted to go to France, but to stay here in Spain.

That was that, six year later, we are still here.
